ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT DOING SOMETHING CONNECTED WITH FASHION IN THE FUTURE. IF YOU WANT TO BE A FASHION DESIGNER THESE ACTIVITIES WILL HELP YOU TO GET INFORMED BEFORE YOU TAKE A DECISION. QUESTIONS 1.-Answer these questions: -Do you like doing what fashion designers basically do? -Do you have the necessary skills or abilities to design? -Do you think fashion designers are well paid? -What can you do to find a job as a fashion designer? -Which occupations related with fashion designing do you find interesting? 2.-The 60s and the 80s were two important decades for fashion. Paint a person with the typical look of those two periods of time. 3.-Yamamoto?, Gaultier?, Chanel?, Galiano?, Gucci?. Have a Look at the websites of those firms and explain which one you prefer and why. 4.- What site would you recommend someone to buy the following items: -a pair of jeans? -a lipstick? -underwear? -a nightdress? -sunglasses? THE BIG QUESTION If you have decided to be a fashion designer explain why and make a proposal for a collection for the next Spring (2005). |
