Introduction The man has always wondered existencial questions that seems impossible to answer. However, we have found an alternative explanation to life and death through myths though they are not really true, or perhaps, do they exist? Who knows... Questions: 1.- What is a myth? 2.- Do myths have categories? If so, Which are they? 3.- What do "creation" myths mean? 4.- Are theogony and cosmogony related? How? 5.- What are "alienation" myths refered to? 6.- What do "eschatological" myths mean? 7.- Do myths exist inside all the cultures? How many of them do you know? 8.- Look for some myths of different culture. Which one(s) do you like most? Why? Commentary After searching all this information about myths I have reached the conclusion that they are a symbolic interpretation of what life and death really are. Myths are also a little bit easier way of understanding our existence on the Earth, a way of making sense of that we don't understand rationally. Discussion Do you believe in myths? Why (not)? What were they created for? By whom? Can we adapt them to our time or in our everyday life? How? |
